Dear Parents,
I hope that you and your families are all still well and managing to stay safe and healthy in the pandemic. As we are now approaching the end of the First Term, which has been a rather hectic term, I would like to start by thanking you all as parents and carers for your fantastic support over the last few months. I am particularly appreciative for everything that you have been doing to support the resumption of full-day face-to-face lessons. As a parent, I know how challenging it is to juggle working with supporting your own children with their schooling, and of course in addition to dealing with all of the normal challenges of family life especially in this pandemic situation. The school has been grateful for the support from all of you over the years.
I would like to express my gratitude for all of the staff who have been working exceptionally hard to ensure that the students are able to continue with their studies with great effectiveness. As said previously, nothing can be comparable to the benefit of students being in school to receive the direct instruction and immediate feedback from their teachers. So we will continue to support our students and parents in navigating through the learning materials in the second term.
I would also like to congratulate once again all of the students who have been recognised in different competitions and on different occasions for their hard work and achievements inside or outside school in the First Term. Do please encourage your daughter to maintain their effort, because all of the staff are very keen to recognise what the students have been doing and to share and celebrate their success. As I said in one of my recent messages to the students, I have been really impressed by everyone’s productiveness and ingenuity and would encourage them all to continue to use their time as fruitfully as possible. Our girls have outstanding achievements in the First Term in the following arenas:
In addition, I have been really pleased to hear about the extra effort of a number of our Sixth Form students recently for preparing for DSE in addition to the existing packed study schedule. I never cease to be amazed by the ways in which our students act with such thoughtfulness and maturity, and particularly so when it comes to supporting each other. We are all extremely proud of them.
I am very mindful of the pandemic that continues to be unsettling and difficult times for students, staff and parents. However, through working together so positively over these recent months, we have demonstrated how much can be achieved within such a cohesive, assured, caring and supportive community like ours, and from this we should continue to draw on our strength to stay safe and productive.
Please do remember to contact us if you need any support. In the meantime, I send my very best wishes to you and your families for a safe and happy new year.
