The course is organized by The Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) and the Department of Ocean Science of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). It aims to increase students’ understanding about Hong Kong marine ecology and biodiversity and to promote the importance of marine conservation.
The course, which targets Form 4 and 5 students, includes content covering marine ecology, ecologically important marine organisms and habitats, and relevant conservation measures and education work. The course comprises seminars, field visits and laboratory work, through which students’ interest in the topics will increase and knowledge about marine ecology and conservation will improve.
